ABOUT THIS COURSE
Audit Level 1 introduces new auditors to the foundational concepts and technical skills needed to contribute effectively to audit engagements. Participants explore the audit process, the audit risk model, understanding the entity, internal control walkthroughs, and the connection between assessed risks and audit procedures. The course emphasizes practical application through common staff-level audit areas, including cash, accounts receivable, property and equipment, accounts payable, inventory observations, and substantive sampling. Participants also build essential skills in audit documentation, critical thinking, professional communication, effective listening, and responsible use of data and AI-enabled tools. Through interactive case studies and simulations,practice asking better questions, evaluating client-provided information, and preparing reviewer-ready workpapers. This course provides a strong foundation for performing audit procedures with curiosity, professionalism, and attention to audit quality.
