ABOUT THIS COURSE
DAS Audit Level 2 is designed for staff auditors with the equivalent of one busy season of experience. This program focuses on tasks and procedures performed by experienced staff on a DAS audit. Topics include performing internal control walkthroughs, sampling, auditing accounts receivable, and substantive analytical procedures. In addition, the program provides practical training on professional skills necessary for success in the public accounting profession, including exercising professional skepticism and performing effective inquiries.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Use DAS to perform and document audit procedures, including internal control walkthroughs, substantive sampling, and substantive testing of cash, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and accounts payable, in accordance with professional standards.
- Create effective risk assessment and planning documentation in DAS, including understanding the entity and its environment and evaluating internal controls.
- Use research-backed techniques to exercise professional skepticism and conduct effective client inquiries, including recognizing fraud risk indicators in an AI-enabled environment.
