DESCRIPTION

This module provides participants with an in-depth look at using financial and non-financial data on audit engagements, with a focus on thinking creatively about data that is relevant to the audit. Classroom discussions will allow participants to build their digital fluency and data-driven problem-solving skills while learning to identify appropriate data sources and design new audit procedures using data, including how to create data visualizations that add value to the audit team. The course also covers steps for evaluating the reliability of the information obtained and considerations for mitigating the risk of overreliance on automated tools and techniques.
