DESCRIPTION

This module gives students an opportunity to learn the essentials of tax research. The module begins with a research task where students will establish a baseline for research ability. Next, the instructor guides students through a five-step tax research methodology while also exploring sources of tax research and what constitutes authority in a source. Later, students review common sources of tax research. Finally, the module concludes by circling back to the research assignment from the very start, where students can test their new knowledge of research and sources while using their new tax research documentation template.
