DESCRIPTION

This module tackles important skills for Audit In-Charges supervision and feedback. Participants will learn about Blanchard’s Situational Leadership Model and how different tasks and people warrant different styles of supervision. The instructor will use classroom discussion to relate the model to the role of an in-charge in the audit profession. The module then focuses on a simple yet impactful four-step process for providing on-the-job feedback.

  • Describe positive behaviors and characteristics of effective in-charges
  • Describe the styles of the situational leadership model and when each style may be used most effectively
  • Identify opportunities to provide on-the-job feedback to staff
  • Use the four-step feedback process to provide timely, effective feedback to team members
