This module will provide participants with an overview of recent events and trends in the auditing profession, including a review of key concepts related to navigating accounting and auditing standards. Participants will receive a high-level briefing on upcoming auditing and accounting standards and will reflect on where to research and learn more as appropriate. Participants will also have the opportunity to select to reflect in more detail on one or more of the following topics: recent accounting guidance for digital assets, challenges and opportunities gleaned from the developing cannabis industry and/or upcoming economic trends, and their potential impact on clients.
