Instructor Role Description
20-20 Services LLC (20-20) is seeking instructors for multi-day training programs. Instructors deliver both virtual and in-person training programs to local, regional, super-regional, national and international CPA firms. Classes include new-hire training programs through experienced manager-level programs and are designed to be highly interactive and engaging. Programs include many activities, exercises, simulations, and case studies to engage the learner and to provide practice applying the content. Our programs are delivered primarily from April through January. Opportunity exists to instruct 3 – 12 days per month.
Our professional development courses cover non-technical topics that are critical to the success of professionals at accounting and advisory firms including communication skills, project management, time management, leadership topics and more.
20-20 seeks professionals who have significant practice experience at CPA firms with a passion for the importance of interpersonal skills in our profession. Successful candidates are those who desire to leverage their public accounting experience in combination with their natural inclination towards and passion for the teaching, coaching, and instructing facet of the profession.
20-20 offers flexible contract roles. Virtual classes are delivered from home or office and are typically run in ½ day sessions over several days. In-person classes likely require travel, typically for 3 days at a time. This is a contract (1099) role.
Qualifications:
- Current or former CPA or CA with six+ years, manager level or above, with public accounting firm or similar
- Ability and desire to travel – most professional development programs are in-person
- Recent public accounting experience
- Experience delivering classroom and/or web-based training courses
- Passion for teaching; engaging personality and teaching style
- Curious, creative, positive and fun
- Great communication skills and executive presence
