Garth Sheriff
Instuctor, Audit & Professional Development
Garth has been a program instructor and facilitator with 20-20 Services since 2011. His prior industry experience includes several years as an audit and assurance manager with Deloitte in Canada and the US, as well as providing firm training seminars in leadership and communication, and technical accounting and auditing skills.
Garth has taught undergraduate and graduate university business courses at the Sprott School of Business from 2009 to 2012. He has received several awards in teaching, including Professor of the Year in 2009 and 2010, and a Professional Achievement Award. Garth works with both CPA Canada and CPA Ontario to help author and deliver content for the CPA prerequisite education program and the CPA professional education program.
Garth earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in honors accounting from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, the AICPA, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
In his spare time, Garth enjoys acting professionally. He is a member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists He is also a graduate of improvisation from the Second City Training Centre.
